Eelink GOT08 description
Eelink GOT08 is a vehicle telematics unit that easily plugs into a vehicle’s OBDII port of almost any car. It can’t read telemetry data from vehicle diagnostic system, but controls ignition status in various ways.
The possible applications for GOT08 are logistics enterprises, fleet management, bus management, insurance, taxis, car sales, car rental, vehicle maintenance, technology researchers.
Eelink GOT08 device is supplied to the customer in a cardboard box containing all the equipment that is necessary for operation.
The standard package contains:

- OBDII extension cable
Location and tracking
GOT08 model is embedded with GPS chip and it doesn’t support GLONASS or alternative systems. It neither supports Assisted GPS (A-GPS) technology. As the back-up, when no satellites signals are available, it uses Cell ID location (also known as LBS-tracking).
OBDII data reading
Eelink GOT08 does not read any data from vehicle’s diagnostic system such as speed, engine RPM, coolant temperature, MIL, DTC codes, etc. It only takes power supply from OBDII port.
GOT08 has a Quad-band GSM 2G module so it can be operated all over the world.
Eelink GOT08 uses OBD II Connector Type A and voltage range 10-16V, which makes possible to install it on cars. Device also features a 200 mAh built-in rechargeable backup battery. When fully charged it ensures about 1 hour of device operation (in normal conditions).
Local and remote management
Eelink GOT08 tracker can be controlled over GPRS. Also, there is a wide list of SMS commands, on which device always replies back. In particular, Server address and port, APN settings can be applied remotely with SMS.
GOT08 has two LEDs:
- The red LED flickers fast when the terminal is searching for GSM network, it flickers intermittently when the terminal has registered the GSM network successfully.
- The blue LED flickers fast when the terminal is searching for the GPS satellite signal, it flickers intermittently when the terminal when the terminal has searched the satellites and can be positioned.
