The T333 GPS vehicle tracker has a built in function that will detect if the 3G connection is available and if for some reason its not, then it can switch to the 2G until the signal is back up. This tracker delivers with the many standard features that make all Meitrack GPS trackers stand above the competition which includes the 3G antenna.

Location and tracking

T333 model is embedded with GPS chip. It supports Assisted GPS (A-GPS) technology. As the back-up, when no satellites signals are available, it uses Cell ID location (also known as LBS-tracking).

The tracking mode is flexible and can be configured depending on distance, time and angle. The default parameters set by the system are 100m,  60 sec,  30 degrees. When there is no movement, tracker sends data every 180 seconds.

With Quad-band GSM 2G module T333 can be operated all over the world.

Also, it supports a faster and more stable 3G connection.

Power supply

T333 uses voltage range 11-36V, which makes possible to install it both on cars and trucks. Device also features a built-in rechargeable backup battery. When fully charged it ensures about 3 hours of device operation (in normal conditions).

Local and remote management

Meitrack devices support management via GPRS. Also, there is a wide list of SMS commands, on which device always replies back. In particular, Server address and port, APN settings can be applied remotely with SMS.

LED Indication

T333 has two status LEDs:

  • Status LED: indicates GSM/GPRS mode
  • Navigate LED: indicates GPS reception

Automatic activation (recommended)

The software platform supports automatic device activation by applying APN settings, server address and port, as well as recommended tracking mode though the SMS channel. Normally you don’t need to configure anything manually. Just install the SIM card, switch the device ON and make sure it is located in the place with good GPS signal reception.

You also need to keep the device with initial factory settings, in particular:

  • Do not set any password, keep it clear (as by default)
  • Do not set any master number prior to the device activation
  • Do not set local Time zone, it must be UTC+0h (as by default)

Manual configuration

If the automatic activation failed, you can point the device to the server manually by sending these commands to the device:

  • @@H48,<IMEI>,0000,A21,1,217.23.132.215,47752,<APN_Name>,<User>,<Password>
    Reply example: $$H28,<IMEI>,A21,OK*F4rn

<APN_Name> – your local GSM-provider APN

<User>,<Password> – your local GSM-provider user and password for APN
